AJ Brown Struggles in Return Against Jets in October

In October, A.J. Brown of the New England Patriots struggled in his first game back after a four-week absence due to a right high ankle sprain. During the match against the New York Jets, Brown dropped a career-high three passes and muffed an onside kick recovery attempt, although his teammate Eli Raridon recovered it. Despite these issues, the Patriots secured a 26-19 victory. Brown admitted his performance was below expectations and vowed to improve, attributing no excuses to his comeback from injury.

Quarterback Drake Maye, who threw 18 completions on 32 attempts for 235 yards and three touchdowns, supported Brown and expressed confidence in strengthening their on-field connection. Head Coach Mike Vrabel also acknowledged Brown’s difficult day but remained confident in his ability to recover and contribute positively in future games.

Looking ahead, Brown is focused on the next match against the Chicago Bears, even as the team might face the absence of another key receiver, Romeo Doubs, due to a shoulder injury. Despite the challenges, Brown remains determined to uphold his high standards and continue working on his game.
